Red, White & Blue Never Go Out of Style

Some outfits are simply timeless, and this one felt too good not to share this Fourth of July weekend. I posted these photos on Instagram over the holiday, and now I'm happy to share them here on the blog.

These photos were actually taken last year during our trip to Newport, but when I looked back through them, I realized this look captures everything I love about classic summer style. Even though the memories are from another season, they felt perfectly fitting for the holiday weekend.

I can never say no to a linen red dress; it instantly says summer! It's lightweight, comfortable, and vibrant without trying too hard. I paired it with a striped cardigan for those cool coastal breezes, then finished the look with my favorite straw and leather accessories and, of course, a red hat that tied everything together.

I love outfits that feel effortless, especially when they can take you from a morning stroll to lunch by the water and into the evening without missing a beat. The combination of natural textures, nautical stripes, and pops of red is one I'll reach for year after year.

While the Fourth of July is often filled with fireworks, family gatherings, and traditions, it's also a reminder that classic red, white, and blue has a way of bringing a little extra joy to summer dressing. Looking back at these Newport moments made me smile, and I'm so happy to finally share them here.

Here's to celebrating summer, making memories, and wearing the pieces that make you feel your best, whether the photos were taken yesterday or a year ago.
