Red and white gingham shirt dress on an afternoon at the wonderful Castle Hill Inn. This dress is perfect for a picnic, but considering the location and the view, I think it worked just fine. Caroline is wearing red as well in combination with a pink floral dress. As usual, ladies are being girly...

"Take me to a rose garden! " is what I am asking Bogdan this summer season. He knows better than anyone how much I want my own garden of roses and he made a promise in this direction... As I always like to say: Until I have my own garden I will go to any other garden and enjoy the roses. For that I have to look no further than Longwood Garden where I always like to spend hours surrounded by my family and the wonderful flowers (in this case, roses). A floral cotton and lace dress is the right outfit, and for this you can "blame" Yumi Kim. Her dresses are really celebrating the Summer season and floral prints!

As I mentioned in my second post from this Florida trip, we visited this art museum garden two times because once it wasn’t enough. I can definitely say not even twice is enough but at least we spent more time there. For my second visit I wore this relaxed dress, a straw hat, this beautiful orange bag and my new favorite pair of sunglasses, all from Hampden clothing boutique. I found so many favorite pieces for this season on their website that I find it hard to make up my mind what to choose. Ultimately I chose this outfit (my favorite) and I cannot wait to rewear each piece in a different way. Voila!

I was happy to escape that polar vortex temperatures back in January and went to more warmer Savannah. One of the mornings there and one afternoon we encountered a light rain, so these were the only days we had “bad weather” if you can call it this way. Once the rain has stopped we were out and about strolling down the historic area and this is what I was wearing. A black and white outfit with a touch of soft pink from these comfortable O&B flats.
In my next look I’m back to my favorite garments: dresses!

From time to time, I do monochromatic looks and today's outfit is one of the occasions when a simple black dress and a straw bag & hat are my choices for a sunny Summer day in the city. This dress is an old one but still a classic one and definitely a keeper. Right now I am looking to find something similar and I think I found a lovely option Here I just wish it would come in more colors or at least in white as well. If you have any suggestions, please share :)

A second look from this trip is a very flowy & relaxed one, having as predominant color yellow gold. This visit to The Crane Estate wasn't in our plans but a lovely lady suggested it to me so here I am! As usual, we spent the entire afternoon out there, mostly in the gorgeous garden. A little bit about the history of this beautiful estate. Centuries before becoming a grand summer estate owned by one of America’s wealthiest families, Castle Hill was well known by Native Americans, who called the area Agawam, referring to its rich fishery. In 1925 magnate Richard T. Crane Jr. was living the dream in a fabulous English-style summer house on a hilltop surrounded by the ocean in Ipswich Crane, where he would host lavish parties with his wife Florence. As the story goes, Crane sailed past this spot in 1910 and was struck by its beauty and seclusion, deeming it the perfect spot for his summer home. He bought all the land he could see, ultimately accumulating 3,500 acres and six islands. Behind the "great house" on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts, a vast lawn rolls out half a mile to a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In my opinion, this is the most impressive fact about this estate, something unique and fabulous at the same time. Once again we had the best time visiting a piece of history, an impressive one!

...And another embroidered dress is again the main subject of an outfit post. This time is a black one but equally beautiful, almost the same babydoll design like this one Here (my all time favorite). I wore this look almost 2 weeks ago when the Spring pink flowers were in full bloom and I wish they will stay like this for the whole season... Until next Spring lovely blooms!
The (long) planned trip to Washington has finally happened (a month ago). I planned this trip since last year and we actually wanted to take it on Noah's birthday (on the last week of March) but with all the snowstorm situation we had to postpone it... better later than never that's for sure! Last time we visited Washington I was pregnant with Noah and I had an opening store collaboration for The Frye Company (See that post Here).
Springtime is a great time to visit, mostly because of the National Cherry Blossoms Festival happening here and all its wonderful views. Today's post is all about that and I will definitely want to come back next year around this time for another round of cherry blossom "explosion". Another post from Georgetown coming up next!
Hello from Longwood Gardens! It is mandatory to visit this garden every Spring and if you ask me I would want to be there every weekend...This time we visited right when the Orchid extravaganza was in full bloom. The arrangements were quite impressive but that's nothing new, I am always impressed by their variety and also by how well maintained this place is. Always something different! I was wearing a striped dress with lace details and also a new basket, a Gambibgo basket. With that, I want to introduce you to another creative and budget friendly bag idea (under $25) and again supporting artisans. A Portion of all sales from Big Blue Moma goes to women in Taha, Ghana. Fashion wise speaking, besides the affordable price, one thing that I appreciate and love is that no two baskets are alike. You know that I support the idea of having a unique style so with these artistic pieces you can't go wrong and for sure you will have a unique piece in your wardrobe. It is again a win- win situation!
