There’s no better place to embrace classic nautical style than Newport, Rhode Island. With its harbor views and salty sea breeze, this charming coastal town is the perfect backdrop for a palette of navy, white, and timeless stripes.

For our day by the water, I wore a breezy navy linen dress, effortless, breathable, and just structured enough to feel polished. Draped over my shoulders was a striped sweater (because coastal weather always has a surprise or two). I finished the look with a woven wicker bag and my favorite summer hat, a white-and-navy mariner-style piece that fit right in among the sailboats bobbing in the harbor.

Of course, the kids joined in the nautical fun. Dressed in navy and white, with classic striped details, they looked like they were ready to set sail. These are the little moments I love: matching stripes, barefoot beach stops, wind-swept hair — the easy, joyful memories that make vacation so special.

And with this post, I’m officially wrapping up my summer wardrobe as we slowly shift into fall. It’s always a little bittersweet to say goodbye to the linen, sunhats, and ocean air, but I’m excited for cozy layers and the fresh start a new season brings.

Thank you for coming along on my summer style journey. It’s been a season to remember.

Until next time, Newport.
