Rockport, Massachusetts, is one of those rare places where every corner feels like a living postcard, where color and charm naturally align. For my second look in this dreamy coastal town, I leaned into a palette inspired by the sea and sun: navy, ochre, and classic nautical stripes. It’s a combination that fits seamlessly into Rockport’s vibrant backdrop of painted houses, weathered shingles, and colorful pops from the boats in the harbor.
This outfit came together effortlessly. The linen dress - a summer favorite - is breezy and timeless, perfect for wandering through Bearskin Neck or pausing for a lobster roll by the water. I added a navy cardigan and navy-and-white striped layers for that quintessential maritime touch, paired with warm ochre accents that echo the sunlit tones of the town’s cottages and the boats gently bobbing nearby.
My accessories tell their own story. The structured bag is an old favorite from Sophie Hulme, simple, elegant, and perfectly suited for a trip like this. The hat is a DIY piece I made this spring, and every time I wear it, it adds a personal, playful touch that makes any look feel truly mine. It’s been in heavy rotation this vacation, and for good reason.
One of the things I adore about Rockport is how the backdrop always seems to meet you halfway, reflecting your mood, your colors, your rhythm.
If Rockport is a real-life postcard, then dressing for it is part of the joy of the journey.
