On one of our days in Massachusetts, we made our way to Eastern Point Lighthouse in Gloucester, and as luck (and a little planning) would have it, we arrived just in time for golden hour.
The lighthouse sits quietly at the very edge of the coast, tucked beyond a winding drive and framed by tall grasses and weathered rocks. As we walked up, the sun was beginning its slow descent, casting everything in those warm, honeyed tones that make everything feel a little softer.
We had intentionally coordinated our outfits in navy and beige, which felt just right against the coastal backdrop. The breeze picked up, tugging gently at our sleeves and hair, and we took our time walking the breakwater, watching the waves crash, just being there. I wore my navy striped Sézane monogrammed classic top, a touch of nautical style, and somehow even more special out on the point. The wide stripes and delicate embroidery caught the last light beautifully.
There’s a stillness at Eastern Point that’s hard to describe. It’s not a busy tourist spot; it’s the kind of place you lower your voice for, where time feels like it slows down. We stayed until the sky turned lavender and the lighthouse beam began to sweep quietly across the water.
If you ever find yourself near Gloucester, don’t skip this spot. Go for the lighthouse, but stay for the light.
