I think it’s finally time to admit it: fall has arrived.
The days are still beautiful and pleasantly warm, but there’s a definite chill in the mornings and evenings that makes me slowly reach for my fall wardrobe. I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to summer (I never am), but I have started making that gentle transition into a new season, one outfit at a time.
For my first fall look that I post here, I pulled out a pair of wide-leg jeans that I bought last year and paired them with my favorite ankle suede boots.
There’s a little detail about these jeans that I loved from the moment I saw them and, honestly, it’s one of the reasons I bought them in the first place: the double waistband.
I know, it might sound like a strange thing to love about a pair of jeans, but there was just something about that detail that caught my eye. And a year later, I still love it just as much. It gives the jeans a little something unexpected and makes them feel different from the usual wide-leg denim or denim in general.
I added a classic navy cardigan, perfect for those cooler mornings, and finished the look with my newest obsession: this navy leather bag.
Can't say enough about my love for a beautiful navy leather bag. This one is my newest addition from Pamela Munson, and I absolutely love it. The navy color feels timeless and versatile, while the classic design makes it one of those pieces I know I’ll be reaching for season after season.
And perhaps that’s what I love most about transitioning into fall: the opportunity to bring those timeless pieces back into rotation, mix them with something new, and create outfits that feel both familiar and fresh.
So, yes… I’m officially admitting it. Fall is here, and I’m slowly, happily dressing for it.
