Newport always invites a lighter way of living.

Maybe it’s the salt air, the rhythm of sails shifting in the harbor, or the way time seems to slow as the sun slips across the Atlantic. Whatever it is, it calls for clothing that moves with you, not against you. And for me, that means white linen.

On one of our days in Newport, I slipped into a crisp white linen vest and skirt, and somehow, everything just clicked into place. It wasn’t just an outfit, it was a mood. Linen wrinkles with charm, breathes with grace, and never tries too hard. It’s effortless elegance, the kind that fits perfectly in a town where historic mansions meet the quiet luxury of modern yachting culture.

We all matched in white-and-blue nautical looks, because really, why not? Newport brings out the sailor in all of us.

And yes, that hat? It was seriously on repeat the entire vacation.
