A while ago, Caroline and I spent a quiet afternoon wandering through a rose garden, surrounded by rows upon rows of roses in every shade of pink. For a few precious hours, it felt like we had stepped into a page from a storybook. We stopped often to admire unusually shaped blooms, to lean in close and breathe in their perfume, and to immortalize the moment with a few photographs.

At one point, Caroline stood by an iron fence beneath a climbing rose, quietly taking in the view. I remember pausing to watch her serene, smiling, framed by blossoms. She looked like a painting come to life.

Both of us wore pink floral dresses, as I still love to match. Mine was a soft blush scattered with tiny sprigs of flowers. Cara’s was a delicate pink embroidered dress from Charlotte sy Dimby latest collection. We looked like part of the garden ourselves, blending in with the petals and shadows as we strolled between archways and winding paths.

As the sun dipped lower, our dresses caught the last warm rays: pink on pink, and we promised ourselves we’d return before the season is over.
