Another day in Newport, another fabulous mansion to visit, The Marble House! Originally it was considered a "cottage" or a Summerhouse but look at it! Marble House is one of the must see Newport Mansions. William Vanderbilt gave this opulent palace to his wife, Alva, as a 39th birthday gift, this palace cost $11 million to build in 1892. Cottage they say?
Well, I had again the chance to escape from today's reality and to enjoy for a whole afternoon the opulent tastes of the Gilded Age. For this visit, I chose to wear a yellow buttoned vintage dress, I also love this one Here, basket bag, and kittens heels, feminine yet casual...
This was the last mansion we saw on this trip but I will come back for more!
